11th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Company B
A Reenactment and living history Group
Who are we?
In 2020 we decided to form our reenacting group after a weekend trip to Gettysburg,
Pennsylvania. When trying to decide what unit we wanted to represent, we knew
that we wanted it to be a Pennsylvania regiment. No matter what regiments we looked at, we were always drawn back to the 11 th Pennsylvania. They fought in every major battle with the Army of the Potomac and were nicknamed the “Bloody Eleventh” for their bravery in battle. We strive to honor the brave men who served in this regiment by depicting them as accurately as possible. We also aim to show the civilian point of view during the war. At our events, we portray an average Union infantry regiment on campaign between the Fall of 1862 and Summer of 1863. In our camp we demonstrate what life was like for the soldiers and what equipment/clothing they used throughout the war. The civilians of our unit demonstrate what life would have been like for the everyday person during the war. We hope that you can come out and join us!

Hey, I'm Blue! I joined the Eleventh as their Sallie stand in. I enjoy biting rebels, getting snacks, and all of the attention. Woof!
